Who We Are
Jake's House Statement of Faith
At Jake’s House we are dedicated to the great commission – (Matt. 28). We are passionate about making disciples for Jesus Christ in the Northwest and around the world. We will accomplish this goal through the teaching and preaching of God’s word, personal mentoring, and the daily offering of ourselves to Christ as a living sacrifice on the altar of prayer.
Here at Jake’s House we do not believe that church is a place of entertainment, but a place of life transformation. We believe the good news of Jesus Christ will revolutionize any one person's life, regardless of age, race, gender or creed. This ministry is committed to biblical standards, financial integrity, strong relationships and the leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit.
Why The Name Jake’s House?
Our name, simply put is a contemporary way of saying "House of Jacob". We chose this name because of a dream I had from God prior to launching the church. I had been asking the Lord for the name He wanted for us, and I knew it was related to us ENGAGING Heaven. Shortly after some weeks in prayer, I had a profound dream of many people throughout our community hearing of a radical party that was happening at someones house, and they kept calling it "Jake's Place"! People of all types were coming, young and old, broken and hurting, many different ethnicities, but all of these had this one thing in common; they were all curious and hungry concerning all of the stirring rumors in our community about this house party! When I woke up from this dream, I knew the Lord was speaking to me about the life of Jacob, and what he had discovered. In Genesis 28:17, we find Jacob also having a dream and an encounter with the Lord unlike any man to this point, Jacob stated, that where he awoke was an "Awesome Place", and it would be called "Bethel", which means "The House of God". Jacob discovered in his dream, angels ascending and descending from heaven to earth, and then from earth to heaven. This is when I knew God was calling us to fulfill The Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6, of bringing HEAVEN to EARTH! So our mandate for Jake's House Church is to have Heaven come. When this happens, many will pour in, wanting to see what is happening in this place!

Our Vision
Jake's House family members are committed to love as Jesus loved and walk as Jesus walked. We are a church hungry for the purpose, power, and presence of God.
Eph. 1:17-20
His purpose For us to be Jesus in the earth.
His power For us to bring healing in our families, region and nations.
His presence For us to be marked as the Glorious Church.
We believe Jesus isn't simply an historical figure or a great teacher - He is the hope of the world!
Jesus valued people - and so do we!
Jesus welcomed sinners - and so do we!
Jesus opened his arms to skeptics - and so do we!
We believe it's okay to not be okay, to not have your act together or to be struggling - Just come as you are! No matter where you are in your walk or spiritual journey, you are welcome at Jake's House.

THE SCRIPTURES
We believe the Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
GOD
We believe there is only One True God-revealed in three personal Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).
JESUS CHRIST
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine.
FALL OF MAN
We believe though originally good, man willingly fell to sin-ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
SALVATION
We believe every person can have restored fellowship with God through “salvation” (accepting Christ’s offer of forgiveness for sin).
BAPTISM AND COMMUNION
We believe and practice two ordinances-(1) water baptism by immersion after repenting of ones sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and (2) Holy communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.
SANCITIFICATION
We believe sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
THE CHURCH
We believe the church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe the church is the body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
MINISTRY
We believe a divinely called and scripturally ordained leadership ministry serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers-the Church.
HEALING
We believe in divine healing of the sick which is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins).
PRAISE AND WORSHIP
We believe in worshipping the Lord in Spirit and in truth, with all of our hearts and with all of the means revealed in the Bible, showing our love with expressive demonstration of thanksgiving, joy, and praise.
ALL PEOPLE
We believe that people of every race, age, and background are made in God’s image and are meant to be loved, pastored, and presented with God’s good news.
